Create complex vector halftones, rasters and animations from images or gradients.
Vectoraster is a graphics utility for creating vector-based raster patterns and halftones based on bitmap images. The raster patterns and point shapes can be freely configured to produce different styles. The resulting rasters can then either be exported to an EPS, PDF, JPEG or TIFF-file or simply copied into most graphics software. With the batch processing tool you can also easily apply rasters to frames in a movie to use the effects in animation.
Not always clear how to control the options to get what you want. Be prepared for lots of suprises.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />cool concept, fun to play around with, and pretty clean interface for a 1.0 shareware project; i used the "character" point shape and various dingbats for some interesting images; wish i could change more parameters, like maybe specify a collection of characters, rather than just one, for the "character" spot pattern (which creates great patterns with dingbats)
you can create extremely complex vectors with this, which will take a long time to render and print
