This free gadget quickly converts units of measurement into other units, but is only available online. Universal Converter is offered as a Microsoft Gadget and doesn't download to your PC. Instead, you'll be directed to the Microsoft Gadget Web site to use the program online. When determining conversions, you first select from the long list of topics, including those for mass, speed, energy, cooking, length, time, power, volume, temperature, and torque. You then choose your source and desired units, such as kilometer to mile. After that, you simply type in a number, and the program will quickly convert it to your desired unit. Universal Converter not only supports Metric and English systems, but also Nautical, Ancient, Japanese, and Chinese Imperial measurements. Any user needing quick, accurate conversions will find this online program covers a wide range of conversion types, and it's very simple to use.Publisher's description

Version: Universal Converter 1
"Very useful, the best unit converter i've ever used"
Pros: it has with any unit you will ever need, its from a obviously very trusted source
Cons: it could be more presentable

Pros: If I have to go online to use it, why would I want this versus the online conversion site that works very well.
Cons: I do a lot of conversions and find the website above very good. But, with a widget, I'm looking for something that will do the conversions without me having to go online.
