Ultimate ZIP Cracker can help you recover password-protected files that you have forgotten the password for. All you have to do is tell the program as much as you know about the password you're trying to recover, and then let it do the rest.
Flexibility: This program works on ZIP, Word, and Excel files, and its straightforward interface walks you through the process of selecting the file and entering information about the password. The program also uses multiple methods as it attempts to crack the password, giving it a better chance of succeeding, overall.
Trial limits: The trial version of this program only allows you to test it on a password that's less than five characters. This type of limitation doesn't really let you get a good sense of what the program can do and how well it would perform when faced with the challenge of longer and more complex passwords.
Effectiveness: Even in the trial mode against basic passwords, the program did not perform well. When it did manage to find the password, it took a long time, sometimes even a few hours.
Ultimate ZIP Cracker can be a useful tool if you can give it enough information about the password it's attempting to reveal. But our tests did not indicate that this program would perform well against passwords that you have little information about, and as we noted, the trial limitations make it hard to see what the app can really do. The full version of the software costs $59.
Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of Ultimate ZIP Cracker 220.127.116.11.
Ultimate ZIP Cracker is designed for recovering lost passwords from many popular file types: MS Word documents, Excel documents, ZIP archives created by PKZIP, WinZip or by any compatible software, ARJ archives created by ARJ, WinArj, or by any compatible software. It features brute force attack will test all possible passwords, smart search will test all pronounceable passwords, dictionary search can use a built-in or external dictionary, and date search will apply more than 5,000 date formats to a given date range.
None whatsoever. I would have selected zero start, but the system does not let you.
Tried evaluation copy, before wasting $60 or so. Ran it for exactly 36 hours for, and it completed (allegedly, because I do not trust the contradictory messages it was showing) only 6-character Brute Force combinations. It seemed that shown messages were fakes, not actually showing real activity and speed. Uninstalled. Probably works if your password is 123 or ABC. Probably.
Keep searching for something more professional, and, by the way, do not password protect your ZIP files, because it seems that there is a glitch there.

I have sorted my password problems by searching for ZIP corrupt file fix instead. That brought me to http://www.diskinternals.com/thanks/zip_repair/ It did the job in about 5 seconds. Recovered the file intact, and was not bothered at all with the zip file having a password. So, after spending four days on various undelete programs (looking for one of past password-less copies of both the zip and the zipped file) and about three different ZIP password crackers (Ultimate Cracker, ZIP Password Cracker, Appnimi) and being stupid enough to actually pay for one of them, $30 for ZIP Password Cracker), I got it all solved for free in (REALLY) 5 SECONDS.

I'm a fool for not reviewing the previous 14 reviews (all of which appear to be spam-ish). I made the mistake of downloading this program and found that its capabilities are very limited in the freeware version. Finally I have to download another tool called SmartKey RAR Password Recovery from http://www.recoverlostpassword.com and I think that smart key is better.

have a mistake >_<!!!!!! It is the SmartKey ZIP Password Recovery.
In addition to the standard dictionary, brute force, and plain text methods of attack UZP offers Smart Search, Customized Search and Date Search. Smart Search will test all "pronounceable" passwords, Customied Search allows the user to create a template based on remembered details of the password like the first letter, and Date Search generates a password string for a given date range. Support for AES encrypted zip files and ARJ and RAR archives. Support for zip archives greater than 4Gb in size.
UZC does not appear to be able to test for all 98 ASCII characters. In the brute force section it has options for lowercase, uppercase, numerals, underscore separators and non Latin characters. I am not sure what "separators" are supposed to mean, but I suppose they do not include special characters like $. Cannot exploit parallel processing within the graphics card's GPU and thus slow with strong passwords.
UZC is only useful if you have a legitimate reason for recovering a password because you are the owner of the encrypted archive and you can remember some details of the password. Otherwise a brute force attack is futile on strong passwords. For instance Andrew Ku writing in Toms Hardware says that using an i5 quad core CPU it could take a month to recover an 8 character password composed of uppercase and lowercase characters. If an 8 character password was tested for all 98 ASCII characters it could take a maximum of 8 years to recover. In these situations you require a program like Accent Password Recovery coupled with a high end graphics card like the HD6990 whose GPU contains 3072 arithmetic logic units capable of running concurrently.
First of all, there is no way this program can crack a 5 character password with letters, numbers, and characters in a few seconds. I used a zip file with a simple password of 5 letters (all lower case) and numbers only. This program ran for 12 hours and was still going until I canceled it. All 'reviews' claiming this program cracked a password in seconds is absolutely false. Unless of course their password was 'password'.
This piece of crap is a scam and I'm tired of cnet and all the trash that's on here. The program is a scam, and won't reveal any passwords in the trial/evaluation mode. I don't even know if the damned thing works, but then it tells me "PASSWORD FOUND!" Okay, now show it to me? Nope, BUY IT FIRST then they'll show you it actually works. For all I know they're full of crap and it doesn't even do what it's supposed to. If it's gonna be a trial, make it a functioning trial you morons.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD, save yourself some time.

- Update - The other posters who are commenting on the trial are likely fake accounts or leeches that are hired to write misleading reviews. Take it from a real user who has nothing to gain or lose in posting my experience. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. I want that 10 minutes of my life back, and it's gone forever lol.
