Designed to recover passwords, this program's questionable performance and trial restriction keep it from being a more compelling option. Ultimate ZIP Cracker offers a clean if uninspired interface. We especially like the user-friendly password discovery wizard, which works with secured ZIP, Word, and Excel files. The program requires minimal user interaction. Point to the password-protected file, and Ultimate ZIP Cracker will cycle through seven discovery methods, including brute force and date search. If you remember part of the password, the program offers options to quicken discovery. That's all fine and well, but in some of our testing with an Excel file, the program failed to uncover a simple password, even when we used multiple discovery methods. Also, the trial version won't recover passwords larger than five characters, which certainly isn't ideal. We can see how Ultimate ZIP Cracker could be handy to forgetful office workers, but we recommend you proceed with caution.Publisher's description

"Worked for a 5 letter PW in about 20 sec"
Pros: The demo does not show a 6 letter PS ( only the middle two letters) but I am confident it would have with the full version .

Pros: Somehow, i've losted me Exel file password.
Have looked through net to recover it and found Ultimate zip cracker.
Frankly speaking, Didn't hope to recover it, but this utility brough my fail back.

Pros: Program offers several retrieval options, including using words from it's own password dictionary. Retrival for the 1st subject took less than 1 second. ZIPCracker retrieved both passwords (complete password, not partial) in an MS Word document previously locked by a former employee.

Cons: Can't get Guaranteed Decryption to work on Excel File, with 7 characters.
