To access your data again, it is important that you plug-in your USB drive into the computer and choose the Open this USB drive with password option from the Windows Autoplay that pops up every time you plugin your USB drive. You can also double click the USB drive in your PC to launch the program. To unprotect your secure USB drives, click Unprotect and enter correct password to access your data again. Another great feature of USB Secure is that it doesn't require any Administrator rights to run and therefore there is no need to install it at the other end to retrive the protected data. The program also supports plug & play and ask for a password immediately when the drive is plugged-in.
What's new in this version: Version 1.7 minor changes have been made to the code to further enhance the overall flexibility of modifying/viewing certain file formats within the virtual drive.

As I am a careless guy I misplace things a lot. I was having of USB Secure when I lost my USB, I had many important assignments saved in my USB. One of my friends found my USB and tried to copy my assignments, but he did not get access to them as I was using USB Secure. My friend returned me the USB with a smile and said "Its just useless for me, thanks to your USB Secure"

I am 65 years old accountant working from home, so, I am not ashamed to say that when it comes to technology, I am a complete dummy. Since everything these days are done through computers, it has been a challenge for me to learn the various types of accounting software. But besides that, the point is that I need to sometimes carry financial documents in a USB Stick, my son advised me that it's not safe to carry such data on USB sticks, losing one of these devices with such data stored on them certainly carries the risk of identity and data theft. He recommended that I purchase USB Secure. I found this software easy to use and seem to work well for my needs.

I purchased a 1 terabyte external hard-drive on black Friday at a bargain price. Right after purchasing I've transferred all my source codes and project files on the hard-drive, what worried me, was that if I lose it, someone could steal my data. I've tried USB Secure and I have to say, it's the most dynamic and most dependable software I've tried so far. Other similar software doesn't have this level of sophistication as USB Secure. USB Secure does NOT protect your private data. Once you have supposedly "protected" your data in an encrypted drive this data is still easily visible abd accessible through such free software as "Search Everything". Just do a wildcard search (*. followed by doc or wmv or jpg or whatever you want to look for) and the software will reveal everything you thought was hidden. This problem has been broufght to the attention of the software developers but is still not fixed.
