The Download Now link will prompt a local download of the Firefox extension. To install the extension directly, open the file using your Firefox browser.
This free Firefox add-on keeps you a mouse-click away from tor-proxy.net, a Web site that lets you browse anonymously by hiding your IP address. It works, but the trade-off in speed is noticeable.
Tor-Proxy.NET Toolbar doesn't have typical toolbar features, such as e-mail notification, and a weather forecast, and there's a lot of wasted space, but you can easily hide the toolbar. A shortcut button on the toolbar takes you directly to tor-proxy.net. There also is a place to enter a URL, and two proxy options: JAP/JonDos and TOR. During our tests, we entered a URL and clicked on one of the proxy options. Both worked and our IP changed each time, but surfing was very slow and pages didn't load very quickly. Another URL field and display options for cookies, scripts, and ads appeared at the top of pages.
This toolbar works fine for occasional use, but we couldn't image browsing with it on a regular basis. The basic settings make it suitable for all user levels, but impatient users will want faster options for anonymous surfing.
With this toolbar you can access TOR-Proxy.NET directly. Hide your IP and surf anonymously. This Addon creates a new toolbar, where you can enter the address you want to take a look at. You have the choice between different anonymization-networks. Currently there are: TOR (https://www.torproject.org/) and JonDos/JAP (https://www.jondos.de).
