Publisher's description
From Eidos :Tomb Raider III unfolds in a much more nonlinear fashion than Lara's previous adventures; this time, Lara starts out in India and travels all over the globe from the Arctic pole to islands in the South Pacific trying to get to the root of a story involving ancient artifacts and mysterious archaeological discoveries.
In Tomb Raider III, enemies exhibit pack behavior with improved enemy AI, and there's a new landscape system (incorporating triangles) for smoother surfaces and architectural structures such as domes, arches, and vaulted ceilings. There are also improved texture palettes for greater detail, improved water effects (rippling, transparent water) and new reflection effects, a faster game engine, and semitransparencies on any surface for dramatic lighting effects like shafts of light. Lara's new moves, including crawl, monkey swing, and speed dash, help the heroine out of sticky situations.

Version: Tomb Raider III demo
"A non-linear approach is a good thing!"
Pros: I have followed TR since it first came out and loved the first [two]incarnation but, when TR III came out, I was floored. It was big, really big, but besides that I was able to choose my path around the globe, and not be scripted. It's sad that those that followed ceased this choice.
The graphics were stunning, in 1998, and the bosses were badder than ever. The overall feel wand scope was really what made me fall for this game. And the environments just iced it for me. We go from the humid jungles of India, nighttime London, the south pacific, the infamous Area 51, and at the conclusion of the game, Antartica. This still is MY # 1 until I get my hands on TR Legend.

Summary: I enjoy tomb raider games and have completed them all, but unfortunetly this game didn't play on my pc, it downloaded fine it's just that my pc wouldn't play it. This game isn't the best one of the series but if you want a challenge I'd recommend it.
