"time for a major upgrade!"
Version: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent single-player demo
Pros
this is a shame,ubi-soft could have had a excellent game title here but they have designed a game with such high requirements its almost impossible to play for around 80% of the computer world
in-game audio is excellent and the menu is well layed out and easy to use,but thats no good if your p.c cant play the game
Cons
the graphic requirements are much too demanding for the average p.c
i have a 256mb nvidia ge-force 6600gt and a 2.2ghz amd c.p.u and the game is unplayable as it needs a 3.5ghz c.p.u
this is a major mistake by ubi-soft,im sure that they could of made the cpu requirements to around 1.5ghz while still keeping excellent graphic quality, for example take "will rock you" by ubi-soft,a excellent 1st person shooter with some really good graphics, requires only a 800mhz cpu and will run fine with a radeon 9250,so why make a best selling title with such high demands
i wont be upgrading just to play this game so heres one title off my xmas list
i reckon this game is aimed at the new geforce 8800 series and the dual core processors, infact it would be a great peice of bundled software for a power p.c
a real shame..well i will have to go back to playing the older splinter cell titles

"Not Bad, But Not Good"
Version: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent single-player demo
Pros
Cool game series, disappointed with System Spec requirements(see below).
Cons
If you don't have a 3D Graphics Card with Pixel Shading,And enough Memory(256 Or Better), Do not bother to download this game. I was disappointed, because as I said above, I have always enjoyed the splinter cell series, but if you want to play this one, get ready to upgrade first.Yes, I downloaded this, and thats how I found out this game needs high end system specs to launch. Also, When I would start the game, my firewall would always pop up, and say "Splinter Cell EXE. Is trying to access the internet"?? Um, pardon me if Im wrong, but in the single player version of the demo, there is no net access the game needs. I eventually shut off my firewall to begin the game. I eventually became quickly frustrated, quit the game, turned on my firewall again, and uninstalled. What a shame, this would have been a great game, if I could have run it properly.
