Publisher's description of Tiper
Tiper - Make your computer sound like a traditional typewriter. Usage: Adding your own sound scheme: Prepare such five wav files: letter.wav - sound of typing letters and numbers, enter.wav - sound of typing "Enter" key, backspace.wav - sound of typing "Backspace" key, space.wav - sound of typing "space" key, bell.wav - sound of typing keys like "Tab", "Home", "PgUp" & etc. Put these sound files into a folder "MyFav" (suppose you want to name your new scheme "MyFav"),and copy it into the folder "sound" ( a subfoler of Tiper program). Ok, restart Tiper and choose your sound scheme by right click on the Tiper tray icon. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Version: Tiper 1.6
Pros: - It's free and it works
- Sits in the tray
- Has 8 sound schemes (Bird, IncrediMail, Kongfu, Machine, Music, Nature, QQ2, Yahoo)
- You can create your own schemes
- You can disable the sounds through the tray menu or through a keystroke
Cons: - There's no traditional typewriter scheme. Always modern sounds mixed in. The author should create a "Typewriter" scheme, and then the program will be perfect.

Pros: avast & anti-malware haven't found any malicious content
Cons: awful sounds. not help guide. Major uninstallation problems.
Summary: CCleaner couldn't find it & properties of all subfolders stayed as read-only although I ticked the "apply to subfolders" box when i removed the read-only property. And I'm still stuck with the .exe file of the program with no clue how to remove ... read more >>

"Need Typewriter sound schemes for this? See email below"
Pros: Tiper 1.6 isn't bad for a free program, so I created five typewriter WAV file sound schemes using my various old / antique typers. I have a 1929 Royal, a 1930 Remington (stadium keys model), a 1941 Royal, an early '50s Royal and a 1960s Olympia.
Cons: Not for fast typers, cuz it's kinda slow keeping up past 40wpm..
