Publisher's Description
From Atari Games (Midway):
The Witcher is an action RPG that shatters the line between good and evil, building a world where moral ambiguity reigns. You'll become your own idea of what a great hero should be, as you control Geralt of Rivia--a white-haired "witcher," monster-slayer-for-hire, and master swordsman. While trying to regain his lost memory, Geralt unwillingly becomes involved in a world-shaking power struggle. In the process, you'll deal head-on with matters that most fantasy worlds ignore, such as racism, political intrigue and genocide. The Witcher includes six combat styles, dozens of potions, a complex alchemy system, modifiable weapons, and powerful magic, all working together in a fluid real-time experience inspired by the writings of renowned Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.
This demo lets you try out portions of the action role-playing game.

"Excellent Demo"
Version: The Witcher demo
Pros
Includes a tutorial section and most of the first chapter of the game. Loads of time and space to really get into the game and decide if it is for you. Lets you try out camera styles, fighting styles and alchemy. Lovely graphics & great sound.
Cons
Some of the English translations and voice acting are decidedly iffy (fixed in the current version of the game). Player character is not customisable.
Summary
An excellent demo of a very good game. I had plenty of opportunity to decide that this is a game I wanted to continue playing, which is, after all, what a demo is for. Even better, the game is currently available at a bargain price at GOG.com.

"Great game, although a little complex"
Version: The Witcher demo
Pros
Great graphics, Realistic gameplay, Interactive dialogs, Dynamic story continual according to decisions, Excellent Music, Exciting battle moves and engine, Great where potions and potion breading are concerned, Super invironment and weather changes
Cons
Too many quests, side-quests and side-side-quests that make the game seem more real, but also make it more complex. (This really is not much of a con, as the computer has quest tracking) Cannot select race or class
Summary
Generally, it is a superb well-polished game (I have played the enhanced edition) with very few cons. Also, I have experienced a crash exactly once.
