Parents and antiviolence advocates may not love The Rage, which makes beating people up for no reason seem like fun. The game boasts nice 3D graphics, customizable controls, and decent music, all of which come packed in a rather large download. The Rage lets you choose from four heroes, including the tough chick typically found in beat-'em-up or shoot-'em-up games. You can play against the PC, take on up to three friends, or smack around folks via online games. The Rage relies less on guns and more on hand-to-hand combat, starting with a battle with hoodlums on city streets. We were impressed with the character animations and 3D graphics, though the first level was too dark for our tastes. Additional features include the ability to choose how many lives you have or turn down the violence meter. The characters have several punching and kicking techniques that take time to master, so you'll probably need to spend some time playing the allotted two levels. All told, we'd guess fans of fighting games will find The Rage satisfies their craving for a rumble.
The Rage is a 3D-scrolling game with new graphics and strong music. It allows you to fight with up to four players, using the same PC or Internet and LAN connections, in real brawls against a great number of enemies with a wide range of easy-to-do moves.
The PC today has no current fighting games in stock like this, they have been discontinued and are out of stock. Graphics simular to Dreamcast/PS2, but better at the same time. Fill the void for arcade style 3D fighting games for now. Good idea.
Work on the gameplay, make the characters more interesting. My impression is that the developer should work on this game still.
I still had some fun with this game, but at the same time this game needs to be developed more. If a major company releases again, a quality fighting game, for PC. Then this game is finished. My advice redo the game, upgrade it, this is opportunity for an A+ game on PC. There has not been a new fighting game like this for a long time on PC. I give it 3 stars, because it is a good idea for a game. I want to encourage the developer make a better game out of this game.
