  this game wont work with windows xp or above. the only way to play it. extract the exe file on your desktop using winrar or windows xp. then right click on the exe file and select compatibility with windows 98. then apply and launch it.

  Pros

  The game teaches you to think outside the box and to be creative to solve problems and puzzles. Learning to think this way can be applied to real life situations. My kids love it as much as I do, probably more.

  Cons

  This is an older game. You must run the .exe file as Win95 compatible mode. To do this right-click TIMDEMO.EXE file, select Properties, Compatibility Tab. Check Compat. Mode checkbox. Choose Windows 95. Click OK. Double-click file and play the game.

  Summary

  Again, this is overall a wonderful game that is both fun and educational. And though it is teaching you by making you think differently about ways to solve puzzles with the various contraptions that you must build, it does so without you realizing it. It is addicting in a good way. You will definitely need the full game as the Demo is only 5 puzzles. However, start with the demo. It will leave you wanting more.

  Fun, you use gears, pulleys, melvin getting sucked in a vacuum or eating by a croc, and other fancy gadgets that make building and solving puzzles fun!

  To set the compatibility to Windows 95 for Incredible Machine (based on windows vista; soon will instructions for windows xp: First, download and install Incredible Machine. Do NOT run the program! Click Start Click help and support search "program compatibility wizard" Click start the program compatibility wizard The program compatibility wizard opens. Click next Click I want to choose from a list of programs. Now it will search for programs. Click Incredible Machine (or TIM) in the list (I'll soon get Incredible Machine for my PC, so I'm vague here). Then click next. Click Microsoft Windows 95 Click next 4 times. The program should now run. I have not tested this program yet, but I soon will, so I'm not sure if this works.
