Text To Wav is a text to speech software only for SAPI4.0. It includes the following. Text or html convert to WAV files; having a lame_enc.dll, can convert to MP3 too. Speak aloud and highlight a text. Moving caret on the text or typing a key, the text speak aloud. Setting a voice1 Japanese TTS Engine and a voice2 English, the voice is automatically switched. Read IE component (IE, CHM).

Version 2.11 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

What's new in this version:

Perhaps Windows Vista was supported.

Version: Text To Wav 2.11

"Handy gadget"

Pros: Fairly easy to use and no installation required

Cons: A lot of the button labels are in Japanese and will require some experimentation on my part.

Summary: This is a handy little gadget. I used it to make my answering machine message rather than use my own voice. It could also be used to make your own ringtones or alarm calls.
