Syndicate Wars asks you to take sides in the struggle between the Syndicate forces and the forces of freedom. A group of scientists set up the Church of the New Epoch to break the shackles of the EuroCorp Syndicate--now all but one of those ten scientists has gone insane through mind-expansion experiments. Only Ko-Paull Vissick has resisted the madness of total understanding and gone off on his own, leading a group of freethinkers to their own destiny. The remaining nine scientists have their own insane master plan, and the Syndicate only wants to restore order.

Being the legend that is Bullfrog, this could be a good game, if i could just get a hold of the correct version

the game downloaded was Sand Wars and not Syndicate wars. Cannot give you details of sand wars as i deleted it as soon as i found out it wasn't the game i wanted!!!

I downloaded it, and after I installed it, it ran as some "sand warriors" game, instead of Syndicate Wars. I very much hope you guys fix it soon enough, because this is the site I trust most to download games, and the only one I found anything on Syndicate.

Summary
Although not as original as its prequel, this game takes the prize for gameplay and realism in environments. There is no clear path when completing your assigned missions. The full 3d environments are FULLY destroyable, and each map is alive with civivlain activity and traffic. Multiplayer is by far the most challenging and fun aspect of this game. You are able to use you hard earned single-player hardware and funds to create near unstoppable war machines to use in the multi-player arena. I recommend this game to anyone and everyone.
