I love this program and have been using it for years. Initially purchased it to convert proprietary Sony Dig. Voice Recorder files to WAV & MP3. Now I use it to convert Sibelius WAV files to MP3. It's quick, it's easy, and a solid performer.

I never read that this was a demo version. I converted a couple of songs a week ago I tried to convert 5 just now and, a screen popped telling you that I am using the trial version. And, when I tried to convert the files, it said I had purchase.

Pros
I can take my tapes, both casette and 8-track and record in WMA format, then use switch to convert to mp3. Great product. I use for home use only, as I am not a commercial enterprise.

none. No probles at all.
Summary
Great product, easy to use, and a big help in digitizing my music, which consists of over 400 vinyl albums, 500 8-tracks, and over 800 cassettes. Most of which go back to the early 60's and early 70's and late 80's. I love the program.

Pros
Good quality conversion from wma (which my old phone wont read) to mp3. No audible difference between wma and the conversion this software did, across many genres, disco, bassy, pop and jazz!
Easy to download and trouble free in win 7 on 64 bit. I used the free version.
Cons
Only tried one experiment so far.

This is one of only 3 software that I pay for, it's always done what I needed it for and never had any issues with it. Does what it's suppose to and it's easy to use. What else do you need or want?!, it's all good, really!.. I recommend it without hesitations. Cheers...

I've been using an earlier version of the Switch Sound File Converter for a year now, and haven't found any Cons yet. It's a Great Product.
Summary
I use the Switch Sound File Converter mostly for shrinking the size of audio files which I use as a background in many of my e-mails. I also find it useful for converting sound files to a format that I can use as background on home video and picture DVDs.

The free downloadable Switch Sound File Converter is a piece of junk. After you pay for it, it works fine UNTIL THEY RELEASE ANOTHER UPGRADE. Then, the "lifetime" license that you paid for will NOT work and you CANNOT revert to the pre-upgrade version either. So, you have to pay again for another "lifetime" license.

BEWARE: After you buy a "lifetime" license, the program will work UNTIL NCH SOFTWARE RELEASES ANOTHER UPGRADE of the Switch Sound File Converter Plus. Then, the "lifetime" license that you paid for will NOT work and you CANNOT revert to the pre-upgrade version either. So, you have to pay again for another "lifetime" license. If you want to pay them again every couple of years (the regular price of the program is $40.00), go ahead. I choose not to do that again: Burned once, twice shy.

The file says it's been scanned by cnet as virus free but DO NOT BELIEVE IT. My network scan reported a virus and wouldn't let me download it

Nice GUI. Sound quality is fine.
Cons
Struggles with handling metadata in any lossless file conversions. No matter what settings are chosen metadata will not stick in converted files - only in iTunes. Complete waste of my time. XLD does the job and more better + faster.
Summary
Save yourself money, time, frustration, + time spent reconverting everything...
Download XLD for free. Stay away from this crappy software.
