  Pros

  attractive interface, excellent coloring for code, supports lots of extensions, very customizable Find & replace worked well for me (version 2.0.2). I was able to use regular expressions to replace a string of text with a new line. It replaced thousands of occurrences in seconds.

  Pros

  - Simple interface - Expandable - but you have to spend some time learning how to use the SW and also remembering all the short cuts to activate the various functions. - Highlights code well, including missing tags etc. - Fast

  Cons

  Search function doesn't work at all in 2.0.2 on Mac version - consistently no results. 2.0.1 was a bit flakey in its search function and frequently missed search results but 2.0.2's search function is completely unusable. I only discovered the problem with 2.0.1's search function after I decided to roll back a version - and noticed it didn't fix the problem. I posted on the support forum about it - no one not even the developer responded. This was many months ago. I unfortunately paid for the product. I emailed the developer to complain and ask for a refund, as I explained that the Mac version was unusable because of the search issue, had caused me considerable problems with my web sites because of missed 'find and replace' actions, and that I had revered to using Textwrangler instead which actually works properly in this respect - no response. Rip off. I heard from a Windows user that it works fine, so less effort goes into the Mac. Inconsistent tabbing behaviour on imported code.

  Pros

  Multi-line edit, macros, custom keystrokes, crazy plug-in support, and much, much more

  I don't like the default display theme. Luckily there a ton of great ones, and custom ones people are contributing

  Summary

  Please ignore staylorpi. This tool is free. The program occasionally, and rarely, gives you a popup that asks if you'd like to buy the program. You can just hit cancel. But to be honest, there are programs that cost money, sometimes a lot of money, and they can't touch what Sublime does. Get it, It beats Notepad++ and TextWrangler out of the water. And the multi-platform support means I don't have to use different programs on my different OS's.

• Amazing Software

  Pros

  Stylish editor that works across all platforms (And as a bonus, all the configs and plugins are text based so with a bit of tweaking you can sync everything by DropBox or Google Drive)

  Cons

  Some of the options like adding snippets and plugins are a bit of a manual process which might be a bit daunting to people at first, but it's well documented and there is an easy to install package manager that will help.

  Summary

  Well worth the price tag and free to try forever if you don't mind the nag screen. Try it and make up your own mind.

• Amazing and fast

  Pros

  It's beautiful and with a very active user base, the third party plugins make the possibilities endless. There is no time limit for the trial period so you can use it with out the license and at full capacity to. Fast and reliable, the dev version is constantly updated. Multiple cursors! you wont believe the amount of time they save. The best text editor in the market by far.

  Cons

  A little bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it, I'm currently using the free version but I will most definitely pull some money together to buy the license.

  Summary

  Fast, beautiful, reliable and easy to use. With and active user base and with even more active pluggin developers Sublime Text offers a great experience for code editing. It doesn't matter if you are a seasoned pro or a beginner, if you are on the market for a fantastic text editor look no further Sublime Text will give you everything you are looking for and more.

• Free? Nope. A blatant FRAUD!!

  Pros

  None. Didn't try it after I barfed when reading that it really costs $59.00.

  Cons

  To me, "Free" means "Free" -- not "free to try" or "free to evaluate".

  Summary

  A fraud is a fraud. I wouldn't go near this thing, even if they offered it to me for ..... FREE.
