From Studybase :A security software device to assist in the protection of a disk file structure. Where virus security of the ground toward securing data on personal or business PC's, there remains the possibility that the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of one's file system may be compromised. Covert access to digital data may be achieved by means other than inadvertent download of viruse. Such as direct unauthorized access or exploitation of various side channels. The LockDown software application retains signatures and versions of important data objects within a file system, periodically comparing them to those presently on disk, USB, etc, records and alerts changes and provides a means of recovery to the last known proper state. Additionally, text files can be created and edited inside the application without being written to disk. Version 1.25 features several functional and functionality improvements, such as add and delete top level directories, unicode conversion on type / copy in, more logging.
