StreamRipper allows you to capture audio data being streamed by Shoutcast and other Internet radio broadcast servers that use the MP3 format. StreamRipper captures the actual file-data itself, ensuring a clean recording unhampered by network slowdowns and other tranfer-related problems. You can save each broadcast in MP3 format--complete with any ID3 tags and other file information--as a single file, or command StreamRipper to save each track as a separate MP3 file. This edition of StreamRipper32 offers all the functionality of Streamripper for Winamp, but operates as a standalone application.

Summary
This may have worked if I had opted to select WinAmp in the Install options, but I deselected it - as this is optional I assume it to be okay - and I didn't want WinAmp on my PC anyway as it's now developed into awful bloatware.
After installation it wouldn't appear on my programs list; I had to go find it in my x64 Program Files folder, but it wouldn't work standalone.
64-bit is the future, and if the developers don't take this into account, this program will be destined to disappear into forgotten history. -

I could be a con that you need winamp, but I use it anyway, so it's not a con for me.

Rarely can I set out to find something I want and get it, but this program IS what I wanted and I got it!

It works just fine without WinampCons
Didn't play well with Winamp. Had to remove it in order to play videos in Winamp. Finally, just gave up on Winamp altogether.
Also, it doesn't work with WM or RA streams.Summary
It works fine without Winamp. You simply install the console version instead of the Winamp version. It has a GUI option which I don't use because I have set up batch files to download everything I listen to. Simply add the relay server option and listen to it in whatever media player you prefer using the approprate localhost URL.
