  Very powerful and adaptable animation software with a good range of customisable effects and now links to Gimp or Photoshop for instant powerful drawing tools. Slide physics works well and brilliant automatic walk cycle. Excellent customer support. Can be used for anything from 2D game character design to full length animated movies. Character design is fairly easy and creating a library of figures or parts is simple. As for people asking for more backgrounds I think the point is to make them yourself. There is a good number to get you started.

  Cons

  Takes some time with the Youtube tutorials and online docs.to learn all the features but it's worth it.

  Summary

  It may not cost much. It may seem a little difficult but if you want a powerful animation program I recommend you give this one a try first before spending any more money.

  Potentially good idea, rather like an advanced version of the well-known programe 'Pivot' with capability to make more complex movies including backgrounds and sound.

  Cons

  Unlike 'Pivot' the creation of characters is very complex and the whole design of the GUI is both intimidating and vcerly complex.

  Summary

  Supposedly 'easy to use' the interface is a nightmare with horrendous-looking menus. Creating characters in 'Elemento' is about as transparent as mud and the tutorials have a very strange format with no option to print. Making simple animations with the existing library of crudely-drawn characters IS easy and these can be exported with ease as movies, but if you want to create or alter characters for yourself, be prepared for a long and very steep learning curve. On balance, I'd not recommend this software - especially at the price it costs. There are many more programs out there which are either free or more affordable and versatile. (Pivot, Artoonix, Creatoon, Easytoon, Pencil, Alice ..... )

  Of course, read the tutorial before you do anything. The tutorial goes over everything you need to know! I didn't realy understand keyframes until I read the tutorial. Easy to use software! GREAT WORK!

  It did seem to go into tedious detail in a couple points. I still don't understand how to make a figure give an object to another figure.
