Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery Software recovers lost or deleted photos, videos, and other multimedia files from hard drive of computer and other detachable storage devices, such as memory cards, digital cameras, external hard disks, USB drives. For advance users the software provides the feature 'Select Range'. By using this feature, you can select any specific region of the hard disk, hard disk volume, or attached storage device for scanning. The scanning process will search files only in this selected region. You can minimize or maximize the application wizard as per your suitability. The 'Live Update Wizard' automatically checks for all the latest updates of the software.

"SCAM! Run AWAY - FAST!!!"

Pros
None. Software is advertised with 30-day money-back guarantee; when it fails they direct you to a .pdf file (http://www.stellarinfo.com/pdf/refund-policy.pdf) not available at their website. Terms within basically say it's up to them to decide if you get your money back, and you never will.
Cons
Everything. They have a network of "third-party" websites under different names wherein are links to download their software (http://android-photo-recovery.com/tutorials/recover-photos-videos-from-samsung-galaxy-s2.html). These sites claim it can recover photos and videos from every major manufacturer's smart phones, but once you've 'taken the bait' and do the download, you're faced with a list of 'recoverable' photos - then you have to buy a license. Upon purchase, all that you get is thumbnail pictures (none more than 70kB in size) when originals were HD-quality images. After contacting their "Support" team, I was informed that the software cannot recover videos from my phone and that their website makes no such claims (easily done due to the "Third-Party" 'dummy' sites in use), and then they play "email tag" with you between "Support" and "Orders" Departments - one saying they're awaiting your reply, and the other suggesting you "keep the software for future use".
Summary
All in all, a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
RUN AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! -

Summary
The developer of this products can promise you wonderful restoration of photo files, fast working, beautiful interface. But the main function is the recovery photo information this tool won't carry out!

Only few video clips on the card cannot be played.
Summary
Just few days back on the occasion of my son's birthday, we all family members went for a picnic. I had created so many video clips. When we were watching those video clips my son unknowingly pressed delete button and all the videos got deleted. We thought that we will not see these video files again. Just to find the solution, I did some search and came across this product, and I tried it. The free download showed some video clips which given me confidence to go for the full version. When I ran the recovery process though maximum video clips got recovered but few videos cannot be played, although others work fine. I was happy because I recovered most of the important video clips. Thanks Stellar!!

They say that you need to preview file in demo first and then not be able to recover to get a refund. This was not stated anywhere in the demo (I could see the file but not play it and then couldn't recover it). I ran a test on a clean memory card which also didn't recover. I pointed out they advertise that they can recover .MOV files but the program can't and they still won't refund. Even though the software essentially doesn't work, which their own policy says is grounds for a refund.

You get all the way to the end, hit restore, and it opens a web page telling you to pay 40 to use it. Complete bull. Go download Recuva instead completely free, much easier to use and super quick.

This software is absolutely horrible - terrible user interface, and doesn't recover deleted files very well at all. Worst of all, when I asked for a refund w/in an hour of purchase, they declined me!! I purchased 'Advanced Disk Recovery' for less $$ and it works great - get that one instead!
