I needed a Pantone spot color application for SOHO Business Cards & Envelopes as I do a ton of spot color custom business cards. This hit the bullseye first time around. It also works with Keynote, among others, any app. that uses AppleÃ¢??s color picker almost. Works great with BarneyÃ¢??s *Border* application too! Nice work Barn!

I'm not sure how useful it is since any application that is capable of printing spot colors has a spot color picker in it and this picker really will only appear in applications that have no use for spot color. But still, this is a nifty little doohicky.

Color picker to use spot color in almost any app.

Spot Picker is an extension to the system colour selector which allows you to select colours from InDesign swatch libraries, including spot colours. In any application written using Quartz graphics (including cocoa and modern carbon applications) spot colours are preserved in PDF and EPS output. With Spot Picker you can:

Select colours from the libraries of major ink manufacturers in (almost) any application;
Find the nearest match in a library to any given colour;
Embed spot colours in PDF or PS output from most cocoa applications;
Create graphics using spot colour in many applications, then drag the result to InDesign for colour separation.
