"Does what it ways it will do"

Pros
As someone else mentioned it's a front end for speedfan.
Cons
Have to run speed fan plus Yahoo widget software plus this widget. Too much software for the small benefit you get from this widget. You're better off using a Windows 7 widget.
Summary
Meh. I'm not using it any more, added software does not justify the benefits.
Note: If you can't download it, can't unzip it, can't figure out how to use it then maybe you should get your little sister to take care of your computer. -

Pros
It is small and you can plant it anywhere. So far, it appears to linking to Speedfan just fine.
Cons
I prefer the temp in F, which can get from Speedfan but the gadget only shows C. The gadget doesn't have any title on it. Sure, I know it links back to Speedfan but I feel like the gadget should have a title linking back.
Summary
Overall, I say this gadget is maybe two and half stars.

Pros
monitors core temps and you can custom set the settings. Not too difficalt to understand for an experienced user. Fine to use on a laptop but set the temp at around 70c not default as the default will be way too high.
Cons
Not for inexperienced users, unless you KNOW how to download, unzip and install properly without messing up pc settings dont touch anything other than default.
The only major con I can see off is that I have to manually restart it on start up.Summary
A good little program, does what I want it to do, which is stop my laptop from overheating, so far its switched the pc off at the temp I have asked and warned me of a problem before that point. Happy with the program but definately not for the uninitiated because they could seriously damage their pc.

It's very easy to install, easy to use, very informative, and uses the internet to compare your hard drive statistics with others of the same model. If your fans are hooked up properly, you can adjust cooling to cpu usage.

Summary
After running a check of my hard drives, an advisory on one drive said that I had an issue that was probably a loose connection. On checking the drives, I located the loose cable into the back of the hard drive and replaced the cable. A rescan showed 98% performance.
Excellent way to keep track of drive temperatures. Hot drives break down very quickly or begin to skip. This software gives you total access to the SMART data for your drives, CPU, and video card. -

No instructions - I've never used a Yahoo "Widget" before, so I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it.Summary
Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. I wouldn't know, because there are no instructions, and even with the handy bit of help from the other person who mentioned there are no instructions, I still don't know what to do with a "widget", and I'm not even a noobie. Some detailed instructions would be nice.

What you need to do, although it's not explained, is download two additional (free) applications:
- the Yahoo widget engine
- Speedfan 4.33
You need to install both applications and run this from the widget engine.

Once you've installed the additional apps, it does what it says!
