The track is a hard-packed dirt road where you face a series of twists and turns, a boiling lava lake, and deadly canyons. Don't forget to watch out for the flying bats, falling luggage, and swinging axes that cross your path.
The story line involves a policeman who wants to give away $1 million to the hottest hotshots he can find, so the challenge is to bust the police radar and earn ""money"" to upgrade your car at the same time. The faster you drive, the richer you'll be. The game also includes extras, such as riding on a train as a shortcut, avoiding avalanches, and staying ahead of rushing water in an irrigation tunnel. Speed Busters: American Highways can be played solo or on link, Internet, and network, with the ability to play up to six players simultaneously over a LAN or the Internet.

Version: Speed Busters Even More Up-to-Date demo
Pros: Probably greatest racing game I have played; only possible contenders are NFS Porsche and Test Drive 6 (as my graphics card is not good enough for NFS Carbon). Fast gameplay, splendid graphics and physics.
Cons: Only one car and one track available. Also, must change display settings to 16-bit color in order to play.
