From SpeQ Mathematics:
SpeQ is a small, extensive mathematics program with a simple, intuitive interface. All calculations are entered in a sheet. In there you can freely add, edit and execute all calculations. You can define variables and functions, and plot graphs of your functions. You can save your calculations for later re-use.
What's new in this version: Version 3.4 fixed a bug which plotted Plot(Sin(x),x) as two functions, Sin(x) and x.

You can EASILY create and save variables and functions. Flexible, intuitive, easy to use. Nice interface. Lots of functions. Programmer-like calculator.

Very nice program. The best of its kind, and freeware too. If you feel constrained when using Windows build-in calculator and want to make fast calculations when studying, then this is the best calculator for you. Very intuitive, easy to use, flexible. You can create your own variables, functions, and save them for later use. Has many build-in functions and constants from many areas of study (math, physics, etc). AT LEAST TRY IT!

Simply brilliant. The app allows you to do all your scratch work right in the program. Very nifty. If you are trying to work through problems that involve lots of calculations along the way, this program will help keep you neat and organized as well as do all your calculations for you. It's fast, it's small, it's intuitive, and it's free. Doesn't get much better. This is a keeper!

After struggling for years with ineffective desktop calculators vs. complex spreadsheets when all I want is a simple yet extremely powerful calculator that shows me my inputs as thought I'm working on a magic blackboard, SpeQ was a gift from Heaven! It is so perfectly designed that anyone can use it, and since it allows values to be assigned to human-readable variables, I can grab a piece of the output and easily paste into an email or even an IM. It even has wonderful features like graphin that I only discovered when I decided to write this review so it's even better than I thought when I started writing this. Amazing!
