• The Best With no Close Second

  Pros

  Spartan is head and shoulders above any other clipboard manager. It has just about every functionality you can imagine and if you do think of something that's not built in, it has a script language with which you can write it yourself.

  Cons

  It's not free. There are hundreds of free clipboards and they are nearly all garbage. Save yourself a load of wasted time and start with the best.

  The support person is a real a-hole. I can't understand how someone can be this arrogant, and do this for a living.

  Pros

  ...and I have yet to find anything better. * Excellent instructional videos. Watch them! Maybe not all at once, but at least the first 3 or 4, then as needed. Cool accent. (I'm just a dumb Yank - I think the owner hails from Scotland, but I'm not sure.) * Some reviewers don't like the old school look and feel of the program, but I find it refreshing and easy-to-use. Quick, clean, simple. * More functions than you could dream of, but if you don't need some of them, you're not bombarded with a bewildering mass of buttons and links like some programs. Just watch the videos to learn about the 'secret' functions. * You can press a button, go to your bank website (or other important financial site), and quickly login using encrypted data, which you set up and control. I'm not an expert, but it sure seems mighty secure, and for sure it's much more secure than the way most people keep their login info handy, e.g., in a text file titled, "bank username and password". :-O

  Cons

  * You have to spend a little time learning how to use the software, unlike easy-to-understand-from-the-start software such as Microsoft Word. ... Yes, I'm being sarcastic. You have to spend a little time learning *any* software, so it's not really a 'con', just a jab at folks who whine that "It's too complicated." If you don't want to take 10 minutes to learn the basics, use the fabulous Windows clipboard! ;^]

  Pros

  Accurately records and stores anything copied. Features columns for organization of oft-used strings. Plenty of features; but terse interface to use them.

  Web 0.5 interface.

  Pros

  I have a lot of passwords that will not fill in automatically on secure websites which must be accessed many times throughout the day which Google Chrome will not save the password for. This is not a problem for Spartan. Besides having a spread sheet which you click on the copied clips to where ever you want, it has macro section that allows you type a short key word to paste a particular clip. This is amazing to behold. I intend to load it up with many clips of goals that I must retype and enter into a online system for work. Once they are all in, my inputting time should cut by more than 50%.

  Cons

  None I can imagine.

  Summary

  This is very smart software that was well thought out. I still have yet to try out the other features. I recommend the full version if you want to have fun inputting a ton of clips that you have to use on a daily basis. It is easy to back up your data. In addition, the software designer is very good at responding to questions. He answered several my questions quickly. I am very conservative with software - this one is keeper.

• Just Perfect! Best Clipboard Software EVER!

  Easy learning curve, good help file. Outstanding design in terms of reviewing words to paste - nice popup box with entire thread visible in box before pasting! I have tried 50+ clipboard utilities over the last few months in search of THIS!

  Cons

  Too few people use it! Otherwise, no negatives that I can see.

  I like the temporary and retained clipboard features. I have images and text available I've not used in a year, but will need again.
