Spartan Multi Clipboard is a complete information centre for your PC. You can save often used text form letters to paste into emails or word processors. You can make things easy to find. You can arrange things visually by position or by color and you can sort any group alphabetically and when you come to reuse your clips. Spartan shows a preview of each clip and provides you with: a picture browser for your digital photos, a browser launch button when the clip contains a web address, an email launch button when it contains an email address, a dial button when it contains a phone number, and a run or open button where it is a program or file on your computer.
What's new in this version: Version 8.0 has added search and replace to the text editor, extended context menu, and the text manipulation functions which previously were applied to the entire clip, are now applied to selected text.

Easy learning curve, good help file. Outstanding design in terms of reviewing words to paste - nice popup box with entire thread visible in box before pasting! I have tried 50+ clipboard utilities over the last few months in search of THIS!
Cons
Too few people use it! Otherwise, no negatives that I can see.

Of all the different programs I use, this is one that I use daily, all the time, it is that good and well worth the price.

I have never found any problems because it is way above the Microsoft version, especially if you don't type quickly.

OMG!!!! Just when I thought Spartan couldn't get any better I upgraded from V4 to V6. I am in seventh heaven!! The text formatting options are fabulous, especially the option to remove all formatting. I copy/paste among a gazillion different apps and was having to paste to notepad to remove the formatting first and then copying the unformatted version, but now I can just use the Txt button when I paste.
Spartan is my Windows equivalent of the Post-It note... absolutely indispensable. Thanks for making such a fantastic product!

I'm a long time fan of Spartan but the new version has just blown me away. See the bottom line summary - they don't give me enough characters here.

The new picture browser is quite slow to load.
Summary
I have always thought that there should be a simple way to paste my digi photos and M8 has finally done it! They have added a picture browser. It's much like all other picture browsers except for one thing... You click a button by one of your pictures and it gets pasted straight into Word or Outlook or Thunderbird or whatever application you have open. And you can pre decide what size you want the pictures to paste in at so you don't end up sending people huge photos in their email.
The bottom line is.. After using this for a couple years, I really can't imagine working on a PC without it. -

The latest version allows you to save frequent clips - previously a feature only in the purchased version. It allows you to make your clipboard hold multiple clips.
Cons
I must start the program for it to work. Duh! A no-brainer that can quickly be fixed if you forget.
Summary
If you do much copy / paste work, this is a must-have. Great for authors, too.

The latest version alows me to create date and/or time stamping clips for example - I can make a clip like "your email was received at ??Hour.??Min on ??Spellday and the program inserts the time and day at the time I paste the clip.

It doesn't display the russian characters
Summary
Used Spartan for years and always liked it. Where Spartan really scores is the amount of information you can see at one time. It's like a huge grid with one clip in each slot. Moving the mous over the slots shows the contents. I invest on the stock exchange and with Spartan, I can have one column of clips named after companies and containing links to thie fundamentals page - A second column with the dataexporers graph of their shorted stock and a third column showing the last magor shareholder list. I can quickly see if anything has changed for any of the companies I am interested in just by moving the mouse about.

There is nothing to dislike about this product. Ideally however I would like it to appear on thought power alone. Maybe that development is in the pipeline!

I like this product because of its tabular presentation, ease of use, appearance, and efficiency.
