Solve Elec is an educational electricity and electronics software for circuit analysis and resolution. â?¨ main features: â?¨ circuit drawing â?¨ computation of litteral formulas for any current intensity, voltage or potentiel defined in the circuit â?¨ verification of equations related to the circuit â?¨ graph drawing â?¨ definition of quantities by their formula â?¨ editing, saving and printing reports made of various elements displayed in main window â?¨ equivalent circuits â?¨ integrated help â?¨ and analyzed circuits function in direct current or alternating current and may contain usual components such as supplies, resistors, diodes, inductors, and capacitors.
Version 2.5 has now analyzing circuits functioning in alternating or direct current - oscilloscope displaying graphs of voltages, potentials and intensities defined in the circuit, and filter analysis providing formula and numerical values of transfer function.

Version: Solve Elec 2.5
"Excellent programme for solving many circuits"
Pros: easy and intuitive to use.
Cons: Would help if components such as capacitors, Inductors could be used with dc applications, to investigate rise times etc.
Summary: Product used for quickly calculating and vuewing results of circuit changes. I particularly like the presentation of formulas for viewing under solutions.

Pros: Accurately determines if circuit will function and provides worthwhile information concerning the circuit.
Cons: A little difficult to use at first. Not everything is intuitively easy to use. The use of switches is one that comes to mind as not being intuitively easy to use.
Summary: While some parts of the program are not intuitive, the instructions are clear on how to use the program, so it is a good idea to spend some time making yourself familiar with the program. A wonderful program to use for designing circuits!
