While this small utility is up to the task of scheduling shutdown functions on your computer, there is nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd. Soft Power Shutdown has a tidy interface that clearly highlights its main functions: scheduling your local or remote computer to reboot, log off, hibernate, and launch or close program functions. As is the case with most apps in this class, you can set a specific time or time interval before executing each task. However, the two-use trial limitation is so stringent that users can't really get a good idea about its performance. Soft Power Shutdown gets the job done, but with its short trial, users looking for a reliable shutdown utility probably will want to find one elsewhere.
