The download and install seemed to go fine.
I use XP pro and I don't know if this matters but snipestation was problematic. I tried it twice and neither auction/bid worked. It could be me, but I'm no novice. I build computers and have several thousand ebay transactions.
I didn't try it any further. I have gotten over being a long-suffering computer user. If something doesn't work for me pretty quickly, I just lose the program.
No pros here.
It doesn't work and is full of Adware. Dangerous!!!

This software is not a snipe software it's a ruse to have you install adware into your browser. To ad injury to insult this toolbar cannot be uninstalled without spyware removal tool assistance.
Bad C-net, Bad!.... No! No! Shame on you! Go lay down!
It doesn't seem to install any more, in Program Files directory just Snipebar2.dll & SD6UNS.log. Website has gone too. Any news? No reviews here since Nov 2007.
Nothing. I couldn't get it to work.
I downloaded it twice and tried to get it to run with a couple of different processes and no go. I only spent 20 minutes trying to get it to work and didn't run any other tests so it may be Vista or it may be something else.
I don't know why it didn't run, I know it is not me I have an IT alphabet soup after my name.
I ddin't want to use the tool bar so I just created my account and logged into the web site. The setup seems easy and straight forward.
The web site said the first auction number I pasted into it wasn't valid. Checked the number repeatedly. I had to jump into e-bay at the last minute to bid. The second item I setup counted down, but didn't bid at all. I left a 6 second lead and lost the auction to someone with a lower bid. It then reported I didn't win. Don't bother to use this. It doesn't work.
Firstly it DOES work on Vista as I am using it now. Secondly I don't have to keep chasing to the screen to watch bidding.Well worth using.
Inaccuracies in telling me the outcome(showed two lost items when in fact I had won them. Time inaccuracies when checking length of time auction has to run.
