CNET Editors' review
Slideboxx provides a set of tools for making quick and easy searches for PowerPoint slides. With its simple layout and fast results, this is a great program for those who frequently work with slideshows.
While Slideboxx features a professional-looking design, its interface proved less than intuitive to navigate, and we required a visit to the Help file. One other gripe we had with the interface is that it opens within your Internet browser, so you can't use it as a standalone application but must open another program instead. Fortunately, Slideboxx is a breeze to operate. We were able to type in keywords, and Slideboxx found all slideshow presentations meeting those criteria. We cycled through our slides and viewed them faster than we could by opening PowerPoint. This seemed like a great way to review and grab information buried inside your slideshow files. The program also has a neat feature that lets you capture specific slides and use them to make a new presentation. This, too, was fast, efficient, and a great way to make better use of your data. While many aspects of the interface were disappointing, we couldn't argue with how well the program itself operated, though we feel that Slideboxx will mostly appeal to those who use slideshows and other presentation software a lot.
Slideboxx is limited to a 30-day trial period. It installs desktop icons without permission. While its interface was lacking, the bulk of this slideshow tracking program still worked well enough to earn our recommendation.

From Zinali:
PowerPoint management made easy and fast! Slideboxx automatically builds your PowerPoint slide library so you don't need to manage or organize your slides. A simple text search reveals thumbnail images of individual slides no matter which file they are in or where they are located. Want to identify favorite slides for subsequent searches? Create custom searchable tags with Slide Tagging. Do you have many duplicate slides? Hide them with our easy to use Slide Clustering slider. Using the simple, fluid slideboxx interface, you can perform multiple searches rapidly, select slides, and reuse them in your presentation with only one click.

"Brought my (powerful) system to a halt"
Version: Slideboxx Prime 2.2
Pros
Excellent catalog of slides
Cons
It creates thousands of small files. My latest multicore many gigabyte Windows 7 seystem was brought to a halt when it had to deal with that number of files (e.g., copying, backup, etc)
Summary
Unusable as is.
Should be withdrawn from market until it is fixed. -
"From the get-go I was impressed by Slideboxx 2.0!"
Version: Slideboxx Prime 2.0
Pros
Basically it's simplicity. It's user friendly, intuitive and saves time! From download to indexing this product, yet simple, achieves some difficult challenges for managing and preparing PowerPoint presentations.
Cons
There are pro's and con's to any new application...This is not a feature rich application, but because of this it's stable and very easy to understand. I'd like to know more about what Zinali has on the features list for 2.+?
Summary
For someone like myself who unfortunately is not the most organized of individuals, Slideboxx made my job a that much easier by doing the work for me. Slideboxx is certainly a worth while investment for anyone who over the years has archived far too many PowerPoints! Bottom line...Time is money and Slideboxx saves me time allowing me to be that much more productive over the course of my day~

"Needs some work"
Version: Slideboxx Prime 1.1
Pros
It produces nice flash slides
you can expand a slide to see a larger versionCons
Its very, very, very slow - so slow its really a problem
it stops operating whenever you move off that window - why?
Similar search is not very accurate
there is no numerical indicators for number of slides identifiedSummary
This product has potential., 10-12 years ago, IBM introduced a fantastic product called Slide finder - it stopped working at Office 2003 - pity. It was far more advanced than Slideboxx is today - how does that happen? IBM clearly did not appreciate the value of their product. Slideboxx has great potential, but it has to be much faster to be useful for large databases. I have over 3500 powerpoint presentations, many of 60 -100 slides and its just painfully slow.
On the plus side, this program does work and its got great potential. The algorithms for similarity searches need to evolve and I am sure that they will. -
"My presentation was done in minutes!"
Version: Slideboxx Prime 1.0
Pros
Searching for the relevant slides was easy using the text search. I did not have to worry about where my slides were on my computer. I found slides that I forgot I had! The 'click and drag' tool made creating my new presentations very easy.
Cons
I wish the text search was able to search for text embedded in images.
