First off, the application won't get off the start screen, no matter what you do.
Second, I uninstalled the application through Control Panel and it's still on the drive and will (try to) start from whatever is left. It will not let me delete the items in the folder, saying the program is still open. This sounds like a malware program to me, depending on your definition.
I need to get rid of this program. Please tell me how?
I've always trusted the apps on your website; now, I'm not so sure I should continue to do that.

Program of choice by Vancouver Film School profs

Pros
A MUST have program for all animators. Able to draw poses over characters in Maya to reach dramatic key poses. Used by professors at Vancouver Film School
Cons
Sometimes you need to open and close the program a couple times to get it to work.
Summary
This program saved me!
Toonron
Pros
One of the only free programs out there that lets you draw on your desktop on top of any windows that are open. Lets you change pen size and color.
Cons
Sometimes doesn't stay working when used with video conferencing if program wasn't already active prior to call. I simply added it to my startup so it's always on and haven't had a problem since. Doesn't seem to have ongoing support.
Summary
I'm an animator, and this program allowing me to draw paths of action and make notes of how a character should be posed when I'm working in 3D is INVALUABLE!! Old school solution was putting clear plastic in front of your screen and drawing with dry erase markers. And it's free! Yay!! Wish it still had ongoing support, though.
Does NOT work!
SaintlyMic
Pros
No pros whatsoever!
Cons
Does NOT work!
I gave it a try and I could NOT get it to work.
And I have several degrees in dumbassery, stupidity, malintelligence,, and ignorance.
Even so, it seems the programmer(s) and designers of this program have a 5 year old toddler preschool degree!
LOL
Summary
How can a sketchpad be this slow?
umbeconomics
Pros
None. This app is far too slow to be useful.
Cons
Astonishingly slow
Complex key combinations (Ctrl+Shift+LeftMouse, e.g.) for basic operations
Lines are drawn "on" the display, not on individual application windows.
Summary
This is a very simple sketching program which always selects the entire display area as the active drawing surface. Only one brush, a solid line, is available; the color and width of the line can be changed by the user, but there is no way to select a translucent line or highlighter.
Drawing is awkward, Press and hold Ctrl+Alt+LeftMouse to draw, or Ctrl+Alt+RightMouse to erase. "Erasing" actually paints the display with white, obscuring both the lines you've drawn and the application window below. When you switch applications so that a new window is on top, the "erasure" remains, obscuring part of the new application window. Not good.
A 1.8 GHz Celeron-powered laptop (WinXP SP3) wasn't fast enough to run this app. A considerable time elapsed between drawing the line on the trackpad and seeing the line drawn on the display. After drawing for 10 seconds, then lifting my finger from the trackpad, the program continued to draw for 5-6 seconds. Perhaps it caches all mouse activity even when it falls behind. That might explain why the laptop froze twice while running this program.
With a faster processor you may not have to resort to a hard reset with the power button to stop the program like I did, but you're still well-advised to pass on this app. My Microsoft Paint and my old PalmPilot are nimble by comparison.
Very cool desktop enhancement!
