"Simple Comic Simply Doesn't Work"

Free. Other than that no pros. It sounds like people who got it working have nice things to say. Based on my own experience, I would give less than 1/2 a star if that were an option. A wast of time.

Downloaded Simple Comic Version 1.7 on my Mac running OS X 10.7.5 on January 18, 2013, and the icon is in the doc, but nothing. A huge disappointment after seeing calibre only displays comics in black and white (except the cover). Hopefully my third attempt at finding an adequate (COLOR!) comic book reader wont be as dismal.
Okay, after playing around with my calibre ebook program for quite some time, Simple Comic started working on its own. I'm still not sure what I did different this time around, maybe one of the many file conversions I tried. I regret the harshness of my initial review, but it's frustrating when you download something and it doesn't seem to work at all (even if it is free, it often seems like a wast of time). If you guys at Simple Comic are listening, its crucial that you include instructions. Its clear from the reviews that people either love it or hate it. Its simple once you know how to use it, but many are new to digital comic books. Keep that in mind. 3 1/2 Stars until you include instructions. Solid overall, keep up the good work.

Once downloaded, there is no clear text/doc to install and no executable file.
Summary
I would not recommend this to others like myself. I am newer to Mac, but even I can find text/doc files and executable commands. After reading the previous reviews I was so happy to find this program, but disappointed afterwards. I use Mac OS version 10.6.8.

Works with pdf formatts unlike Xee or comic book pro and is Free. Opens the pages bigger to look like a real comic book! I love it but this should move up to #2 Image viewer not #3.
