"Great software for controls engineers"
Pros: If you want to model control systems including non-linearities that occur in real life, this package is great. The models are made graphically. It is also inexpensive compared with other packages like Matlab/Simulink.
Cons: You need to know how to write equations for your system in order to make the models. This includes understanding of differential equations and Laplace transforms. It doesn't have as many features as its more expensive competitors, but enough.
Summary: It is a great program for making models of combination systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, thermal or other systems. I have done many useful models with this. This program includes lots of built in PID controllers. But it is ma... read more >>
