This is an easy-to-use screen-capture utility with plenty of options to satisfy most users. Screen Grab Pro Deluxe's interface isn't as neatly designed as similar programs in this genre, but it works. The program is simple enough for novices, and the Help file is geared toward those new to screen grabbers, but it doesn't explain some of the program's functions.
Operating Screen Grab Pro Deluxe is very simple. Press a hot key to grab the entire screen or another key to choose a screen region. Region grabbing takes a fast slide and click to highlight a saved area. Users can save files as BMP, JPEG, GIF, ICO, or PDF images. Files are automatically named by the time grabbed, but it is easy to save files with a user-set naming scheme. A simple option control scales all captures to any user selected percentage from .01 percent to 500 percent. Pull-down menus offer quick changes to capture resolution, timer length, or capture type. A slightly longer process makes it possible to capture video.
Screen Grab Pro Deluxe isn't as full-featured as some similar programs, but the images are saved quickly and the timer function is handy. Novices looking for an easy-to-learn and operate screen grabber should give this one a try.
