Version: SWF2Video Plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0

    "Absolute garbage"

by tunghoy on March 3, 2008

    Pros: It hasn't killed anyone.

Cons: The registration screen pops up incessantly and the plug-in only imports the first few seconds of a Flash movie. And the documentation consists of copies of e-mails to other customers in broken English.

You're supposed to be able to import movie clips with independent timelines (e.g. 3 MCs of 1000 frames each, attached to 3 frames of the main timeline are 3003 total frames), but it simply doesn't work. Whether you choose the option to import only the main timeline or all attached timelines, the plug-in only imports a few hundred frames, no matter what.

    Save your money.

"Worthless if you need audio data"

by Carol on October 10, 2005

    Pros: Adobe Premiere plugin

    Cons: Limitations

    * Human Interaction in SWF file is not supported. THIS LIMITATION WAS NOT OF INTEREST TO ME ON MY CURRENT PROJECT BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN ON A FUTURE PROJECT. THE FOLLOWING LIMITATION WAS OF HUGE INTEREST: * Doesn't support audio. I COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS! ALSO, I DIDN'T DISCOVER THIS FACT UNTIL AFTER I HAD DOWNLOADED THE PROGRAM AND FOUND IT ON A HELP FILE (IT'S NOT IN THE README FILE). FORTUNATELY I DOWNLOADED A TRIAL TO RUN A TEST BEFORE PURCHASING. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU NEED TO WORK WITH AUDIO IN YOUR ADOBE PREMIERE PROJECT.
