Users looking for an effective alarm clock and countdown timer with all of the bells and whistles need look no further than SNV Timer.
What sets this utility apart is that it provides an analog alarm clock and timer that can run in multiple instances simultaneously. SNV Timer's interface is fully customizable--from color schemes to text box messages to tool tip behavior. You can separately configure the alarm clock and countdown timer's messages, audio files, and video files. The application supports a wide range of sound and video formats, giving users full control over the alarms. You can repeat the alarms daily, monthly and yearly.
But where SNV Timer truly stands out from the crowd is in its ability to open multiple alarm clocks--with varied appearances and configurations--without causing any system slowdown. While a hot key for launching it from the system tray would have been nice, this 15-day trial application should be useful to anyone looking for an effective alarm utility.

Unsatisfied of simple message boxes? No problem. Create your own message boxes with SNV Timer! You can specify a background picture (including its random selection from a specified folder during execution), color, font, border width, zoom, shape, fading in/out, symbol-by-symbol printing and other properties. You can also record your own voice messages with the embedded voice recorder.
What's new in this version:
Version 3.0 adds seventh action - power control; Ability to select random text strings from text files; Ability to make voice alerts with microphone; And ability to select audio/picture/video files from the subfolders (three levels) of the specified folder randomly during execution.
