SDExplorer is a free, easy-to-use, but very powerful extension for Windows Explorer. With SDExplorer you can perform all everyday operations with your documents on Microsoft Live SkyDrive using Windows Explorer, as if they were on your computer itself. SDExplorer allows bulk operations with files and folders. Such functionality is not available through a web browser. The Base edition allows to create new folders, copy files and folders to SkyDrive, copy files and folders from SkyDrive, delete files and folders, and preferred language selection.

"Base is not worth it; Pro is excellent."

Pros
Actually, though your email said I should review Explorer Base, I have Explorer pro. I love pro, but base does so little I had it for over a year and never used it. I would recommend Gladinet instead.
Explorer Pro, on the other hand is a fine program that I've grown so fond of that I can't work with out it. I have several computers and this allows me to store all of my files in the cloud and work from anywhere (as does Gladinet, but Gladinet is more unstable).Cons
The cons of Base are many. You really can't do much with it and it just causes frustration. The cons of Pro are that every now and then it will freeze on one of my computers and have to be re-installed again. But that has happened very infrequently. Also, I've written a couple of emails to their tech support (about how to install on different computers) and they've never been answered. But that may just be me. Perhaps it's my breath?
Summary
Base is not worth it; Pro is excellent. And for all the work it helps you with, twelve bucks is not a bad deal.

Summary
During setup the user enters his/her Live.com login id and password. After the installation you will see the "SDExplorer" icon in "My Computer" together with a shortcut on the desktop and an entry in the Start menu. Opening SDExplorer provides easy access to all your SkyDrive folders.

You can't open files or move them (eighty percent of what I do with files). Not as versatile as going to the Sky Drive web page itself (which I do often by just clicking on a shortcut). .
