• The Perfect Solution for a Specific Need

  For those who don't realize, ROT13 is NOT an encryption program (unless you?re three years old.) Rather, this is a letter scrambler, and is more useful as a "spoiler hider". For example, say you're writing in a forum about movies, but not everyone has seen the movie yet. You put the climax in ROT13 encoding, then people can choose for themselves whether they want to decrypt and read it. <p> <p>ROT13 is simply ROTating the English alphabet by 13 characters. Doing that same thing again puts them back as they were. Kind of like your Captain Marvel Decoder Ring. It doesn't really take a program at all; it's quite simple. <p> <p>HOWEVER, for those of us who don't want to take the time to write out a list of letters, this program makes it cut and paste simple. It's clean, it's fast, it doesn't need an install, so it doesn't screw up your registry. It's a great program. It does what it says and no more. EXACTLY what I needed!

  This encodes your text, so it becomes unreadable to an untrained eye

  Each letter is simply replaced by another, this means once you know the code your able to read all text, seems like a bad way to encrypt your darkest secrets.

  Simple Rot13 engine. Shifts alpha characters 13 positions, providing trivial encoding. NOT for use as an encryption / privacy solution. Google Rot13 if you want to know what it is for.

  I would not recommend this to anyone that seriously wants to encrypt their files. The software was easy to use but is was useless to me.

  Fine program - does exactly what it's supposed to do - no install, and doesn't screw anything up! For the knuckleheads who think they "cracked" it...um, ROT13...ROTates the alphabet by 13 characters...good job, geniuses!

  the encoding is increably easy to figure out. all it does it slightly rearanges the alphabet. dont waist your time downloading this

  I read peoples comments about this software, and all the people that complain about it are the ones that do not know what rot13 is...it's not an encryption algorithm, it's an encoding! and there is nothing to crack...
