CNET Editors' review
This free registry search application operates as promised and suffers from no major flaws, yet it will fail to wow most users. RegFind's simple entry box and result list won't win a design award, but it is easy to operate. You enter your search term and click Find Now. The HKEY, Subkey, and Value Name display for every matching entry.
RegFind's search isn't the quickest we've seen, but it is passable. With a few clicks you can limit your search to any or all of the six hives. You can match partial or whole strings, but Boolean searches are not available. However, you can make searches case-sensitive. You can easily save all or partial results in a text file.
Unfortunately, you cannot click a result and open your registry at that location. That's an option we've come to expect in this genre. As a search tool, this executable is basic and accurate. After that point, it falls far short of similar programs. Novices looking for a search tool guaranteed not to alter their registry may like RegFind. Everyone else is advised to search elsewhere.
