CNET Editors' review
This database-style application allows cooks to input key information, but its amateurish design won't suit some palates. Recipe Organizer Deluxe lets you add recipes using either a basic or a detailed format. Easily enter the recipe name, ingredients, and directions and populate fields including course, type of cuisine, number of servings, and cooking time from preloaded drop-down lists with the basic format. The detailed format includes cooking method and wine pairings. Although the help file is useful, the tips displayed at launch are not as helpful as we'd like. Recipe Organizer Deluxe has self-explanatory buttons, but resulting data is awkwardly displayed on the right side of the interface. Handier export options include HTML reports and tables. Foodies looking for an organizational utility can try Recipe Organizer Deluxe, but we'd guess they'll also want to sample more polished applications.Publisher's Description
