CNET Editors' review
RadarSync - Free Edition keeps your PC running on all cylinders by keeping you computer's software and drivers up to date. When we put it through the ringer, it worked quickly to perform an update scan. However, it took a considerable amount of time to download updates, and slowed down our computer's performance to the point we weren't able to continue working.
The main user interface is very straightforward, but we did find a few misspellings that lessened the program's overall professional appearance. First things first, we used the program to scan our computer for updates. The scan process took only a few minutes and the program pulled up our PC's running components as well as their status. We appreciated having the option of selecting the programs we wanted to update. Once we checked them off, the program took a long time to download the updates. On top of that, we found that we couldn't do much else on our computer since the updates slowed its performance to a crawl. The Software Packs feature was a bit confusing. According to the brief description, a pack is collection of software created by you, the user. We tried to use the Help link to figure out how to use the feature, but it took us to an unavailable Web page.
After using this program, we were left on the fence. The lack of direction leaves some things unexplained, but its primary features and functions were very easy to operate. Ultimately, it worked well as an update tool, so if you can overlook its slow performance and the lack of user direction, RadarSync is free and might be worth a try if you want one place to manage updates.

"Don't bother"
Version: RadarSync PC Updater 2011 3.7.0.16
Pros
Installs and uninstalls.
Cons
Just another program that sells updates, whether you need them or not.
Summary
Stick with filehippo, cnet, and R-updater.

"Bad and Sad Product Recommended By CNET"
Version: RadarSync PC Updater 2011 3.7.0.16
Pros
No pros, lots of CONS as in game!
Cons
First you scan your computer with this software and in order to fix the so=called driver updates you have to pay them $20. Then when you pay the $20 you find out that most of the drivers have nothing to do with your computer. One driver that I was prompted to download was for a laptop computer, my computer is a desktop!
Summary
Bad, bad, bad!

"I can't believe I paid for this :("
Version: RadarSync PC Updater 2011 3.7.0.16
Pros
Maybe it helped update 2 Intel system drivers.
Cons
All! Prompts to update with old drivers and software! Customer Service are awful. I asked for a refund... no answer...
Summary
Go get FileHippo for example... and spend some time updating drivers manually.
-
"could ruin your computer!"
Version: RadarSync PC Updater 2011 3.7.0.16
Pros
none! it only gives you useless (and incorrect) information that your drivers are out of date. It will not tell you what version of the drivers you have installed or which version you should have or anything else.
Cons
offers to "fix" things for you without telling you exactly what it will do and only AFTER you pay.
Summary
one in a long list of useless "updaters" on the market.

"Recommendations, but no updates without paying"
Version: RadarSync PC Updater 2011 3.7.0.16
Pros
Suggestions made for updates (unverified if all of the updates were valid, some definitely were invalid because I just updated them)
Cons
This is a paid service only if you want it to actually do anything. Therefore useless to me.
Summary
I installed version 2011. IT scanned my system and had a list of suggestions for updates displayed, but when I clicked "Fix It", I was redirected to a web page when I had to register and pay. No thank you, good bye!

"Gives incorrect info"
Version: RadarSync PC Updater 2011 3.7.0.16
Pros
I could not find any.
Cons
incorrectly told me that several drivers as well as some software was out of date so I checked everything & nothing was out of date.
Summary
Don't bother with this software it could do more harm then good.
