RSS Xpress is a freeware allowing to read RSS feeds versions 0.90, 0.91, 0.92, 1.0, 2.0.1, and atoms. The application includes the essential functionalities for using RSS feeds and even more: very easy interface but complete possibility to organize your feeds in folders; new messages are saved locally so that you can browse them offline; you are informed about new messages by a pop-up windows and a sound; possibility to import and export feeds in the OPML format; search engine to find easily old messages in your feeds; auto-update; tab-browsing navigation; possibility to customize the application; compatible with feeds protected with username and password; support proxies.

Simple and Great

Pros
There is nothing bad about this reader. If you want over the top flashiness, it's not that. This is a simple, yet feature packed reader that does what it says. You can customize the pop up notifier yourself or download others. It is very fast at updating feeds, easy to get going and not intrusive. I think it's one of the best out there for free. Again, depending on your needs but for me, yep, perfect.
