QuuxPlayer Standard Edition is a sleek audio player that allows users to import and organize music already on their computers as well as access a multitude of online radio stations. The program combines an intuitive interface with useful features, making it a nice alternative to other popular audio players.
The program's interface is well-organized and attractive, with the typical audio controls as well as buttons that allow users to switch between music stored on their computer and a variety of Internet radio stations. The radio stations were particularly well-organized by genre, and we liked that the program makes it easy for users to add additional stations that aren't listed. It is true that the interface isn't particularly flashy or customizable, but its ease of use more than makes up for it. An online Help file is brief but adequate. The program offers both playlists and filters to allow users to organize their music collections, and there are a few fun social media features thrown in as well; users can have QuuxPlayer update their Twitter or Last.fm accounts with what they're currently listening to. Overall, there was nothing about QuuxPlayer that really blew us away, but we appreciated its emphasis on simple navigation and commonsense features that work.
QuuxPlayer Standard Edition is free. It installs desktop icons without asking but uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.

Pros
Organize a play list from many ways of compiling your library. Lots of features to play with. So simple you won't need a tutorial. Let it run in the background whilst you work. Makes you hate other music players.
Cons
Cant burn music to CD's. Too many clicks to arrive at a mini-player. Can't seem to boost music loud enough (may be a system fault). Once minimized you sometimes can't find the player.
Summary
This product is great. It can only get better with add-ons. I miss not being able to burn a CD from it. The main screen needs a 'minimize' button. I am pretty picky and can find very few faults with this player, needs a simpler name or a built in audio educator to pronounce the name. How will I ever be able to tell others what it is that I enjoy so much. Thanks C-net, it was your tip!

The options are plentiful and can handle huge media libraries.
Cons
Would get a much higher rating if they can get this to work with Windows 7 properly. Also the auto monitor folder is not working for myself, this is very bad :-(

Great media player that is lightweight and super quick. Better than windows media player, imo but not MediaMonkey, at least not yet.

Summary
This is the easiest to use and one of the best sounding music players I've tried. Set-up and operation are much simpler than Winamp, dbPoweramp or even Windows Media Player. loading new material is a snap and most importantly, it handles .flac files perfectly. If you just want a music player for your computer that sounds good and can handle all your file types, this is the one.
