  Pros

  I was used to GEdit. Needed something better as GEdit lacks options to set certain file extensions to have cetain syntax highlighting by default. This is a perfect upgrade. One can have more control over settings.

  Fast, simple, small footprint and most importantly easy to use

  Summary

  I used this for searching through HTML code for an old website that I was updating. I was able to highlight and copy the text I wanted and move it over into the new site.

  I used it often for searching text files. I think the program search faster than Windows search by more than 10 times.

  Pros

  It's free, has a basic autocompletion, a tags navigator, and can be integrated to any compiler. It has also output capture, syntax coloring, code folding, and is open source.
