Version: Professor Franklin's Instant Photo Effects 2.0
Pros: I searched and searched for something like this. I'm totally pleased with all it has to offer.

Version: Professor Franklin's Instant Photo Effects 2.0
"Great for an average user, or for quick frame effects by anyone"
Pros: It has more framing and edging than the two $50 -$70 dollar programs that I use for serious work. I use this simple program in combination with FastStone image and FXFoto for quick album / scrape booking and digital frame view preparaton. With 16 frame variations that can be combined and altered with the crop and editing tools, what more can one want for free??
Cons: I agree with other reviewers who find the sound effects and promo reminder to purchase the "Professional" version a bit of a nuisance. But, this is the price one pays with many "free" products. I think that's a small price. I can turn off the sound and work around the "reminders".

Version: Professor Franklin's Instant Photo Effects 2.0
Pros: if you really have a tight deadline for your project, this one is a breeze. it has absolutely no learning curve.
Cons: The nagscreen is getting on my nerves. If only I didn't need a small program to run on an ancient laptop I'd uninstall it just for nagging me to upgrade.
The sound effects are for kids! pleeease put an option to turn it off.

Version: Professor Franklin's Instant Photo Effects 2.0
"Good for beginner basic effects"
Pros: If you are looking for a simple to use, basic image effects program, give this a try. For a free program, it will offer you enough effects to keep you amused. Also, if you decided you like it, it won't cost much to upgrade it for more effects.
Cons: A very beginner-level program. I actually found the sound effects and layout to be a bit embarrassing. But then again, I do professional imaging. I would not add this program to my arsenal.

Version: Professor Franklin's Instant Photo Effects 2.0
Pros: There are some neat frames and edges. And I like the antique photo filter....
Cons: annoying sounds, turn off speakers to run this! The full version has tons more frames and stuff, but for free this is not bad at all.
