Pr0ject is a free use Microsoft Project file viewer, supporting both MPP and XML files for viewing. It is also upgradable in place to Standard edition, which is a file editor, again supporting MPP and XML files, allowing you to edit or create either files in either format. Pr0ject Standard also supports over a dozen project reports which can be viewed or saved to pdf. All the standard features you'd expect from tasks, to resources, and costing is supported.
