This freeware executable effectively blocks Internet Explorer pop-ups, at the cost of some conveniences. PopUpBuster's dated interface still reflects 2002, the year it was introduced. This standalone executable is easily enabled and disabled, but during testing it failed if we switched back and forth too quickly.
In addition to blocking normal pop-ups, this utility stopped some useful menus and content. You can't train or set PopUpBuster to allow certain pop-ups. It's all or nothing, making it less useful than Internet Explorer's built-in function.
The program doesn't work for Firefox or any other alternate browser. The extra function to set system time isn't worth the trouble, and the fast Web search function simply didn't work on our test systems. This pop-up blocker is effective, but its lack of flexibility is a bust. You'll do better enabling Internet Explorer's built-in pop-up blocker.

Version: PopUpBuster 3.2.0.2
Pros: Easy to install and run
Cons: I keep getting 3 popups that I cant stop and this one hasnt done anything more than IE7, I must have picked up something!
-
Version: PopUpBuster 3.2.0.2
"Does not perform as expected"
Cons: I really wanted a pop-up blocker that would run in the background instead of one that required an open window.

Version: PopUpBuster 3.2.0.2
"I have not had it very long but I notice the difference already"
Pros: It works and it's free
-
Version: PopUpBuster 3.2.0.2
Pros: It definitely stopped a lot of pop-ups. i went to sites that i knew of that are heavy pop-ups and it stopped them. Definitely get this one.
Cons: Over all I would recommend this to anyone but as with any pop - blocker it doesn't know which ones you don't want to actually stop..lol! It does give you a one-click option to stop it and restart it so like I said over all you can't beat it really.

Version: PopUpBuster 3.2.0.2
"Best popup blocker avaliable"
Pros: Blocks every popup it comes across. Not a single popup goes past it. Some popup blockers block on the first popup and the rest seeps through, but this one blocks them all.
Cons: Well, not only does it block pop-ups, but it also prevents the use of drop down menus. This is very annoying because now you have to turn it off to use them, and then turn it back on. Also, the program does not auto start.
