POS Maid provides users with practically all the tools necessary to run a business. With simple operation and a surprising feature set, business owners will be pleased with this tool.
We jumped directly into operating our test business thanks to the program's smooth, professional layout and its frequent pop-up screens featuring instruction. We were impressed with how easy building a database of inventory and company information was when we filled out some simple wizard-like menus. An invoice was prepared and ready to print in a few minutes after we inserted a few key pieces of customer information. All of the math, including taxes, was automatically added, ensuring accuracy, which we found very valuable. All customer and business information was saved into a database that let us run comprehensive business reports with a few simple clicks. The program even has a feature to track employee work hours and tally up their paychecks, which pleasantly surprised us. While breezing through the various elements, we easily pictured this program working in tandem with a cash register at a small business.
POS Maid offers a short 20-invoice trial. It installs as a compressed ZIP file. We highly recommend this program, especially to small business owners.

The ability to import Excel sheets from our vendors to automatically populate our inventory. Ease of use, inventory control, and the timeclock functions are the best.
Cons
Needs a place to input a constant tax rate.

Summary
I'm far from a geek. Unfortunately, had sales and inventory control of a small store my wife and I own dropped in my lap when my brother, who handled such stuff, had a heart attack last June. I was in a panic, for months, could not afford to hire professional help to get things in order.
I experimented with a few other sample programs and they were just "over my head".
This software is perfect for our "mom and pop" operation. Suit's our purpose perfectly.
I was able to get our 1,100 item inventory under control in a few days.

POS Maid is the easiest pos software out there to use. I have used another software in the past, and hands down pos maid runs circles around them for ease.
Cons
I had a small problem with layaways, but have figured it out with no problem.

Overall you won't be disappointed in what POS Maid has to offer. And for the price, there is nothing compariable. I will continue to use the services fron Alexandria in the future.

Pros
Easy to install, easy to learn, tutorials are helpful and straightforward, Many options for inventory, setting up sales tax when needed and eliminating it when not needed. I really like the low inventory alerts so I can easily make my re-order list for different vendors.End of day reports are simple yet detailed with everything I need. My accountant likes the fact that I can produce a report that distinguishes between amount of services vs. retail products.
Cons
I can honestly say that for me, there are no cons to this program. When I was in a pinch and had only 2 weeks notice that I was going back into retail, this program saved me from making a mistake of going into debt and dropping thousands on a POS system that I really didn't need. I often tell my local small business friends about this program.

I purchased this product 18 months ago when I found myself taking back a business I had sold 5 years earlier, only problem was that the bank took all the assets of the previous owners business so much to my dismay, I was back in retail with no equipment, and the bank account not well padded. All the other POS programs I could come across offered too many features for my small business and too big a price tag. After my 3rd day of searching on line, I stumbled across POS Maid and so glad I did. This program has everything I need to run my small retail vitamin store as well as my service oriented business. I love the quick menu buttons that I use daily for all my services. This program was a big relief to me and my business.

I searched for so many POS software but nothing compare how this one looked and reading how easy it was...did I mention how cheap it was compare to others.
I have it quite a while and so far no complains at all. I can train new poeple with no problems. Recomend more then 100%Cons

"Great EPOS, Easy To Setup and Quick To Learn"

Pros
One of the most important features is how simple it is for my sales staff to use. In an environment where speed, efficiency, accuracy and simplicity are vital, my staff report that it increases their confidence and they like the simple scan and read feature that enables them to immediately tell the customer what the sub total is and remove an item very simply if required.
Cons
Are there down sides, yes, a few very small ones. The product image view cannot be resized to accommodate differently shaped images and dimensions, very minor in the scheme of things. Also not being able to format the output reports like the low stock and sales reports in situ. Although this could be a simple fix with the extension of the export to Excel feature so is likely to come in the next version.
Summary
PosMaid is simple to set up and simple to use. With such an array of features available, it would have been easy to make it complex and unwieldy, but the developers have managed to make the various menus and sub-menus simple to navigate and very intuitive. We demanded a lot of the product and in the main it delivered, certainly better than any of the other 4 we put through their paces. It's also worth pointing out that every one of the competing product was at least 3 times the cost and far less flexible. Simple features like the CSV management feature allow us to take our stock reports and migrate them to our web site database simply and easily.
All in all, a solid 8/10 and that is feature to feature, when you look at the actual cost comparisons and the features, it's more like an 11/10. Highly delighted and very highly recommended.
