"works with the palm tx"
Version: PlayerPal 4.22
Pros
with wifi i can change the song and even the volume without even touching my pc, i do it all on my pda
Cons
i don't like the pdaclassic style which lists songs as two-liners which take up too much vertical space on the pda screen, i prefer only one line per song on the playlist

"An excellent piece of software"
Version: PlayerPal 4.2
Pros
For a while I've been playing with different programs that could control my music remotely. There are several free programs out there that claim to do everything under the sun, but one I found PlayerPal, I stopped looking. I've got a 90gig music collection, and PlayerPal allows me to control it flawlessly in iTunes. The web interface is intuitive an very capable. Plus if one of the 3 default skins doesn't suit you, you can either mod them or create your own! Personally I modified the PdaClassic skin to be optimized for my T-Mobile Dash (you can find it on the playerpal google group). Now all I do is take my wireless speaker and phone out to my terrace and I've got complete control of my music. I can set it up to shuffle everything, or I can search for tracks and create custom playlists from my phone. (An added bonus is that you don't have to leave iTunes running all the time. When you connect to the web interface, it'll launch automatically.) The app is also very stable. I'm running it on a machine I built myself, which has constant problems, but PlayerPal has not crashed once. Overall, I could not recommend this product more highly, and it is well worth the $29 I paid for it. (Did I mention it also works with Windows Media Player?)
Cons
The only con I have found is that, when adding tracks to a playlist, iTunes brings up the "Processing" dialog, and it can slow down the response time of the web interface for a second. It doesn't create duplicate library items or anything like that, just a minor slowdown for a few seconds when I add a whole album to a playlist. I have a feeling this is more due to my very slow machine running (*cough*buggy*cough) iTunes 7.

"Yet Another Awesome App To Maximize Your Sony PSP..."
Version: PlayerPal 4.2
Pros
I just wanted to say that I upgraded to the full license and have it
working perfectly with iTunes and that am extremely impressed and
pleased with this program. At $20 it's a steal, and it always feels
good to support a homebrew programmer.
I use it with my Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable), and PlayerPal and iTunes on my MediaCentre PC
that is hooked up to a TV. It is the slickest way to browse and play my
entire MP3 collection and can only imagine how handy and impressive it
will be with guests over.
Cons
Can lag a bit between page loads on the Sony PSP but I'm pretty sure that mostly has to do with the PSP itself and not the software as it runs very efficiently from a PC web browser.

"Makes the otherwise useless Airport Express into a cracking piece of kit!"
Version: PlayerPal 4.2
Pros
With the use of PlayerPal and a PDA (connected to my wireless network) Im now able to play, stop, foward, back, adjust the volume, change track, album, see whats playing etc... turning the PDA into a remote control for my entire music collection. This can also be controlled via a PSP(this is the cheapest wireless device I can find!) or another PC on the network. All in all a very usefull little peice of software with very little (none!) configuration needed. I highly recommend a download of the trial version and see how it suits you.
Cons
Unfortunately no support for multiple Airtunes, im sure this isn't far off. for the time being anyway when I really cant be bothered to walk to my pc and select another set of speakers i've setup VNC. Although im working on an easier way. Also i've noticed PlayerPal does require a PSP with the official firmware v2+ web browser to operate (if you don't know what version your PSP is you ARE on 2 or abovr.
