PixMatrix allows you to create Web photo albums and Web pages. This software does not require HTML knowledge. You can create Java-animated Web pages featuring your digital photos with a few button clicks. The PixMatrix feature set includes ready-to-use templates, textures, clip art, a WYSIWYG HTML editor, a spelling checker, built-in batch-image editing, thumbnail creation, FTP with presets for the major ISPs, online-auction ad extraction, and extensive help movies. Tufala LLC keeps PixMatrix free by displaying family-friendly ads at the bottom of each Web page generated. PixMatrix does not contain spyware or malicious adware.

Version 2.1 is a minor bug fix release.

Combining modern design with fantastic features and offering a huge number of templates to boot, PixMatrix shows the other photo-album programs who's boss. Right out of the gate, the program's tutorial impressed us with its detailed examples and brilliant execution. However, to the developer's credit, the tutorial is not really necessary since the software is as easy as can be. When creating a photo album, you don't need to search for any background image or suitable color; the program already has plenty of options installed and at hand. Your photo album can be ready in only a couple of clicks, and PixMatrix will post completed photo albums to your Web site without a fuss. In our view, this program is the absolute leader of the pack when it comes to photo-album software; after downloading it, you are unlikely to search for--or find--anything better.

  "Well, I have to agree..."

  Pros: It's free.

  Cons: Many times software gets slammed but in this case I would have to agree with the others, what were the editors thinking? This software came out of the gate and ran out the other. In my opinion it's not worth the trouble downloading. You have to search through a mess to find your pics, not to mention each time I started the program I had different options, very wierd. The interface is ugly, the options are ugly and not just in visual but usage as well. I don't suggest wasting time on this as you will be dissapointed. There are a thousand better image editors out there, this doesn't even qualify. Xnview will do 90% more as will Picasa and others. But it is free although you couldn't pay me to use it.

  Pros: Zero Pros

  Cons: This Program is the worst i have seen

  i don't what category it quilifies, because it does not qualify to be an HTML editor.

  I think they must have paid CNET to write a nice review about this crap piece of outdated software. The templates are so outdated you can't even use one.

  My advice is Don't even try it. useless.

  rather try Yahoo HtML Editor even though is limited.

  Pros: ...give this program a shot! I LOVE it! Makes my life easier. Produces great looking pages (with my own graphics and backgrounds) fast! It resizes photos beautifully and effortlessly -- one or batched, right in front of your eyes. Then it optimizes the files IDEALLY! No other program I have makes such small files look so good (even when I try the same compression, etc.)!

  Cons: While there are a load of templates, your pictures and captions can be tough to place in very precise spots. If you're adding a long story, the design templates can be a challenge to make pages look well laid-out. And, much of the supplied graphics and backgrounds seem to be "dated" -- maybe even some "groovy" or "hep" items. (Or, are they ultra fashionable "retro" designs??? Hmmm.) It's easy to insert yer own stuff instead, while using their layout choices for photo placement. It will take a LITTLE practice to master this program, but then you can create some nice looking, quick stuff.
