Keep track of your money and manage your personal finances in Mac OS X.
Ever wondered where your money goes? Thanks to PigMoney, you can easily track your expenses. PigMoney is a new, affordable, elegant and easy way to manage your personal finances in Mac OS X. It's built from the ground up for Apple's revolutionary OS and is written in pure Cocoa (of course). PigMoney is extremely easy and fun to use: it has a dynamic search field like the one in iTunes. A report for the found transactions is compiled on-the-fly. Entering transactions is as easy as it can get: thanks to the auto-complete feature, you can enter your data as fast as possible, without a lot of typing. Moreover, PigMoney has an Auto-Repeat feature, for recurring transactions. Last but not least, PigMoney is just plain beautiful.
Not a bad program, but I've decided to go with a program that has a little more to it.
Summary
This is a good program, and I would buy it except I'm going to go with Moneydance instead. If I hadn't found Moneydance, I would get Pig Money.
Program does not have a user friendly interface.

Pros
It's a waste of time.
Cons
Not functional. Might be a marketing ploy?

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />If, like me, your income is small enough to be simple to calculate, then what you really need is something to manage your expenses so you can work out where its all going. PgMoney does this really well for me. Simple to use, very stable with lots of handy features like autofill so you can input a week's expenses in 30 seconds and graphical reports so you can see just how much those bar bills amount to. Excellent.
A few requests for that update though:
1) Allow for more than one currency or even better a link to a currency converter so that overseas spending gets converted at the current rate to your default currency.
2) More importantly, more reporting so we can see breakdown of spending within a category (i.e. by description), make it easier to see month by month spending levels etc. Overall I think a series of report templates would be the most crucial update.
3) Make it easier to see if the auto-repeat feature is on or not: I often forget it is on by default if your last entry included this.
Thanks
