PhotoChances Explorer allows users to create slideshows of images with special effects. The program is fairly easy to use and has some nice features, making it a good choice for those who enjoy manipulating their photos.
The program's interface is basic and is organized into tabs. You select the folder or folders that contain the photos you want to use, which can be filtered by file name. You can optionally include music, although we couldn't get this feature to work; we navigated to the folder that contains our music, but the program didn't recognize it. You then customize the effects that are applied to the images, for instance, you can select a basic slideshow, or have the program apply special effects such as black and white variations, photo processing effects, and artistic effects. Start the slideshow by clicking OK or set the slideshow as a screensaver. The program's built-in Help file is adequate.
Overall, we liked the way the program worked and thought it had a good variety of features. We especially liked that as users are watching the slideshow, they can press Enter at any time to capture the image on the screen. Thus, if you particularly like one of the effects that the program applies to an image, you can easily save it. Although we were disappointed that we couldn't get the program to play our music, it was otherwise quite enjoyable. PhotoChances Explorer has no time limit on its trial, but it does put a watermark on the slideshows created with the trial version. The program installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.
PhotoChances Explorer will run as a slide-show picking your digital photographs and applying spectacular image processing effects chosen at random the original images will remain untouched. Each image shown can be saved with the effect at the resolution of the original picture.
